As a Server Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and operating computer systems and servers within State Data Center and Cloud Infrastructure environments. Your key responsibilities will include:
Configuring servers, operating systems, and firewalls to ensure secure and stable operations
Managing users, processes, resource contention, and system hardening
Executing updates, patches, and preventive maintenance to keep systems current
Performing system re-installations following crashes or hardware/software failures
Conducting periodic health checks, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing rectification measures
Maintaining standard operating procedures and managing credentials for servers, applications, and devices
To qualify for this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:
3 to 5 years of experience as a Server Administrator or in a similar systems administration role
Hands-on experience with Windows-based server administration
Hands-on experience with Linux-based server administration
Experience with operating system administration and system hardening
Proficiency in firewall management and security configuration
Ability to manage user roles, passwords, and subsystem access
Experience performing system troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Background in hardware and software installation
Any Graduate degree
