As a Senior Systems Analyst at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will play a crucial role in bridging business requirements with cutting-edge technological solutions. Your responsibilities will involve analyzing user needs, streamlining processes, and enhancing existing systems by leveraging your technical expertise in both IT and business realms. Working collaboratively with diverse teams, you will be tasked with gathering requirements, designing solutions, overseeing implementations, and ensuring smooth system integration. Lead end-to-end development of Power BI solutions, including requirements gathering, data analysis, dashboard design, development, deployment, and documentation. - Design and deliver interactive dashboards and reports tailored for executive and operational stakeholders. - Conduct intricate data analysis to identify trends, risks, and business opportunities. - Develop and optimize data models utilizing dimensional modeling techniques like Star Schema. - Create advanced DAX measures and Power Query transformations. - Implement time-based analytics such as YTD, QTD, MTD, YOY, and QOQ. - Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across data pipelines. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, DBAs, and business users. - Manage Power BI Service components, including report publishing, scheduling, and gateway maintenance. - Support performance tuning and optimization of dashboards and queries. - Serve as a point of contact for BI reporting support, enhancements, and issue resolution. - Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement using Power Platform tools and Lean methodologies. Required Skills & Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in Data Analysis and Business Intelligence. - 5+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI (Desktop & Service). - Proficiency in Power BI (Dashboards, Reports, Dataflows), Advanced DAX, Power Query, SQL, and Data Modeling (Star Schema, Fact & Dimension tables). - Experience working with various data sources such as Athena, Redshift, SQL databases, APIs, SFTP, SharePoint, and Excel/CSV datasets. - Strong background in KPI reporting, business performance analytics, and dashboard performance tuning. - Familiarity with Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate) is advantageous. - Exposure to predictive analytics, collaboration with data science teams, and enterprise-level BI projects is preferred. Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate and Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals. - Experience in Life Sciences, Financial Services, or Retail domains. - Knowledge of Lean methodologies, process improvement, and familiarity with R or other analytical tools.
