As an Employee Welfare Activities associate, your role involves planning and implementing various welfare programs such as canteen, sanitation, medical facilities, transport, and housing for the employees. You will be responsible for monitoring working conditions, safety standards, and hygiene levels in coordination with the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team. Additionally, you will facilitate a grievance redressal mechanism for the workmen and promote employee engagement and well-being initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
Plan and implement welfare programs like canteen, sanitation, medical facilities, transport, and housing. - Monitor working conditions, safety, and hygiene standards in collaboration with the EHS team. - Facilitate grievance redressal mechanism for workmen. - Promote employee engagement and well-being initiatives. In the area of Industrial Relations (IR), your duties will include maintaining healthy relations between management and workers, coordinating with trade unions and worker representatives, assisting in handling disciplinary cases and domestic enquiries, and supporting the negotiation of wage settlements and agreements. In terms of Contract Labour Management, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance under the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970, monitoring contractor compliance regarding licenses, wage payments, and statutory benefits, maintaining contractor records and documentation, and conducting audits of contract labour practices. For Training & Awareness, you will conduct awareness sessions on labor laws, safety regulations, and welfare schemes, educate workers on their rights, perks, and company policies, and support induction programs for new employees and contract workers. Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Degree/Diploma in Labour Welfare / Social Work / HR / IR
Certification as Welfare Officer as per Gujarat rules (preferred/mandatory)
Experience: 38 years in the manufacturing industry (cement/plant experience preferred)
