As a Logistics Coordinator for a rapidly growing logistics and supply chain company, your role will involve overseeing the planning, execution, and optimization of transportation and warehousing activities. You will be responsible for coordinating with carriers, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of supply chain principles. Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage all aspects of the shipping and receiving process, including scheduling, tracking, and documentation. - Liaise with freight carriers, trucking companies, and other transportation providers to negotiate rates and ensure efficient movement of goods. - Plan and optimize delivery routes to minimize transit times and costs. - Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure timely fulfillment of orders. - Prepare and process shipping documents, such as bills of lading, customs declarations, and invoices. - Resolve any logistical issues or delays that may arise, proactively communicating with stakeholders. - Maintain accurate records of all shipments, inventory, and logistical activities in the company's transportation management system (TMS). - Analyze logistics data to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. - Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards. - Collaborate with sales, customer service, and operations teams to meet customer needs. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers. - Provide regular updates to management on logistics performance and key metrics. - Manage customs clearance processes for international shipments when applicable. - Implement and improve logistical processes and procedures. - Troubleshoot and resolve any discrepancies or issues in the supply chain. Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator, Supply Chain Specialist, or similar role. - In-depth understanding of supply chain management, transportation modes, and logistics operations. - Proficiency in using logistics software, such as Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). - Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. - Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote setting. - Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. - Familiarity with customs regulations and international shipping procedures is a plus. - High school diploma or equivalent required; a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred. - A dedicated home office space with reliable high-speed internet connectivity. - Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment. - Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
