As a Remote Logistics Coordinator, your role is crucial for ensuring efficient and cost-effective movement of goods and personnel, all managed from a remote work setup. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of fleet operations, including scheduling, routing, maintenance coordination, and driver management. Leveraging technology and communication tools to maintain real-time visibility of the fleet, address logistical challenges, and ensure compliance with all transportation regulations is key. Working closely with drivers, dispatchers, and other stakeholders to guarantee seamless operations will be part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate daily delivery schedules and routes for the company's fleet. - Monitor fleet performance using GPS tracking and telematics systems. - Manage driver schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with working hours. - Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repair schedules with service providers. - Ensure all vehicles comply with safety regulations and licensing requirements. - Process delivery documentation, including manifests and proof of delivery. - Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams to resolve logistical issues. - Optimize routes for fuel efficiency and timely deliveries. - Maintain accurate records of fleet operations, mileage, and expenses. - Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in logistics. - Develop and implement standard operating procedures for fleet management. Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics coordination or fleet management. - Proven experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and GPS tracking software. - Strong understanding of Indian transportation regulations and safety standards. - Excellent organizational and time management skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage remote teams effectively. - Problem-solving aptitude and ability to make quick decisions. - Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently in a remote setting. - Experience in coordinating vehicle maintenance and repair is a plus.
