Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience for all individuals and groups booking with Scouting America, Orange County Council. - Actively reach out to potential customers (e.g., schools, community groups, parents) through various channels, including phone, email, and outreach efforts. - Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries regarding camping availability, event details, field trip options, and science camp curriculum. - Provide comprehensive information about program content, schedules, pricing, and any relevant requirements. - Guide customers through the reservation and booking process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all necessary information. - Maintain accurate records of all interactions, bookings, and follow-up activities in our CRM or booking system. - Meet and exceed established targets for booking numbers and revenue generation. - Collaborate with the Program Department to stay informed about program details, availability, and any updates to the property or programs. - Work closely with other departments to identify potential leads and support overall membership growth initiatives. - Participate in outreach events, such as school fairs or community gatherings, to promote our programs. - Identify and escalate any customer service issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel. - Stay up-to-date on all Scouting America policies and procedures related to program registration and safety guidelines. - Perform other duties as assigned. The essential functions of this position can be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. Education and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., sales, marketing, hospitality, education) a plus. - 2-year experience in sales or customer service
Provide leadership to sales team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities. - Proficiency in using phone systems, email, and basic computer applications. - Experience with CRM or booking software is a plus. - Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks. - Enthusiasm for the mission and values of Scouting America. - Must be able to pass a background check.
