As a Sales Engineer at 3M, you will be responsible for driving sales of 3M Industrial Filters in the South Region covering Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. Your role will involve end-to-end customer management, technical evaluation, solution recommendation, and business growth across key industrial segments. Here are the key responsibilities:
Manage sales operations across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. - Promote and sell 3M Industrial Filtration solutions to:
Automotive manufacturing companies
Breweries and distilleries
Pharmaceutical companies
Chemical and paint manufacturers
Water treatment OEMs and integrators
Identify customer needs, assess applications, and recommend suitable filtration solutions. - Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets for the assigned region. - Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and industry stakeholders. - Conduct customer visits, technical presentations, and product demonstrations. - Manage payment collections and ensure adherence to credit policies. - Handle distributor coordination, performance monitoring, and support. - Prepare periodic sales reports, market intelligence, and competitor tracking. - Travel extensively within the region to meet customers and support opportunities. Qualifications required for this role:
Education: Graduate Engineer in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Production (preferred). - Experience: 2-3 years of experience in industrial sales, preferably in filtration, capital equipment, process consumables, or similar technical products. - Strong technical understanding and ability to explain product applications. - Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. - Self-driven, customer-focused, and willing to travel extensively. - Ability to work independently and handle a wide customer base.
