As a candidate for this role, you will be responsible for assisting and supporting the design, deployment, management, and operation of scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems in the cloud. Your primary focus will be on Operations. You will lead and perform the installation and configuration of cloud management applications for medium to large-sized efforts. You will also develop software automation and scripts to orchestrate cloud and virtualization technologies with defined scope, schedule, and expectations. Monitoring requests and key metrics for cloud resources, as well as identifying and resolving cloud computing security risks, will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will provide expert technical support to customers using Cloud Platform products, solutions, and APIs. Your key responsibilities will include:
Assisting in the design, deployment, and management of scalable cloud systems
Leading installation and configuration efforts for cloud management applications
Developing software automation and scripts for cloud and virtualization technologies
Monitoring cloud resource deployment and taking appropriate action
Identifying and resolving cloud computing security risks
Providing technical support to customers using Cloud Platform products
Identifying and documenting product bugs and feature requests
Providing work direction to other employees as a technical lead
Troubleshooting issues and planning for future cloud capacity requirements
Supporting the evaluation of new service offerings from Cloud Service Providers
Configuring and administering cloud computing technologies, infrastructure, and applications
Showing initiative on assignments and executing projects with minimal direction As a qualified candidate, you should have:
Experience in creating templates with CloudFormation and similar technologies
High proficiency understanding of Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform
Proficiency in scripting languages and software and infrastructure automation skills
Proficiency in computer programming languages
Strong understanding of Azure and AWS service offerings
Proficiency in virtualization technologies such as Server, Storage, and Networking
Ability to handle significant responsibility, leadership, and accountability in executing complex assignments
Experience in administering systems in a virtualized cloud environment based on VMware vRealize, vCloud Director, and NSX technologies
Understanding of security, risk, and compliance frameworks, disaster recovery, high availability architectures, hardware, operating systems, and networking connectivity
Detailed knowledge of technology trends and ability to champion new ideas and product & process improvements You should also be highly proficient in operational support and have the ability to provide direction and leadership to technical teams effectively.
