As a Vice President Legal Entity Controller at a leading Financial Services GCC client, your role will involve overseeing legal entity accounting and financial statement reporting in accordance with US GAAP, UK GAAP, and IFRS. Your key responsibilities will include:
Ensuring timely close of books and records with strong governance and control standards
Performing detailed financial analysis of entity results and communicating insights to senior stakeholders
Maintaining and strengthening internal controls across accounting and reporting processes
Representing legal entities in firm-wide governance forums, providing guidance on accounting and regulatory matters
Reviewing and preparing regulatory reporting in compliance with US Federal and global regulatory requirements
Monitoring general ledger controls, including inter-entity reconciliations, investment equity breaks, and attributions
Managing IFRS reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and GLRS activities
Driving strategic transformation initiatives, including process optimization, system enhancements, and finance transformation programs
Leading automation initiatives to improve efficiency, data accuracy, and control effectiveness
Preparing management information and executive summary decks to support senior leadership decision-making
Leading and managing a team of 25 finance professionals, ensuring capability development and delivery excellence
In order to be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
Qualified CA / CPA / MBA (Finance)
Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience in Controllership / Financial Control / Legal Entity Control
Strong hands-on exposure to IFRS, US GAAP
Proven experience in strategic transformation, automation, and process improvement initiatives
Experience within MNC banking or global financial services organizations preferred
Mandatory people management experience
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities
