As a DevOps Platform Engineer at Carrier, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining automation, tooling, and delivery pipelines for cloud platforms and digital products. Your efforts will focus on enabling developers to deliver secure, reliable, and high-quality applications at a faster pace through CI/CD automation, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native observability. You will collaborate closely with Cloud Platform, Security, and Governance teams to standardize DevOps practices, enhance release workflows, and foster a culture of automation and continuous improvement across AWS and GCP environments. Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Terraform for multi-cloud environments. - Develop and manage shared DevOps tooling, reusable workflows, and standardized deployment templates. - Implement infrastructure automation for containerized workloads (EKS, GKE, ECS, or Cloud Run). - Collaborate with platform and application teams to integrate testing, security, and compliance automation into pipelines. - Manage secrets, environment configurations, and build artifacts across cloud environments. - Develop observability standards for logs, metrics, and traces across deployed services. - Partner with engineering and governance teams to promote DevOps maturity, automation adoption, and platform reliability. - Troubleshoot build and deployment issues, driving root cause analysis and continuous process improvement. Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering roles with a focus on cloud automation. - Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI). - Strong proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices. - Experience deploying and managing containerized workloads using Kubernetes or cloud-native services. - Understanding of software development lifecycles and Agile delivery models. - Working knowledge of cloud security, networking, and IAM fundamentals in AWS and/or GCP. Nice To Have Requirements:
Experience designing reusable GitHub Action workflows and shared CI/CD modules. - Familiarity with serverless computing (Lambda, Cloud Functions) and event-driven architectures. - Exposure to observability tools (CloudWatch, Stackdriver, Datadog, or Prometheus). - Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and automated compliance testing. - AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or equivalent cloud certification.
