As a Senior/Lead Full-Time Backend Engineer at Acowale, you will play a crucial role in designing and building the backend architecture that can scale seamlessly. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing backend architecture that can handle heavy loads without breaking down
- Developing clean APIs with proper documentation
- Optimizing PostgreSQL performance under heavy load
- Leading the engineering team effectively while maintaining a hands-on approach
- Contributing to the frontend development when required, ensuring high-quality features
- Shipping features end-to-end with professionalism Your playground will involve working with technologies such as TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL (in-depth knowledge required for backend), React with TypeScript for frontend, Docker, GitHub Actions, Nginx for DevOps, Jest for testing, GCP/Azure for infrastructure, and following an API-first architecture in a Monorepo setup. We are looking for individuals who think in systems, have a track record of building robust solutions, enjoy mentoring others, prioritize clean code and performance optimization, and possess strong Linux debugging skills. Bonus points if you have experience with Bun, building data-heavy systems, or enjoy working with CI/CD pipelines.
