As a Senior Android Developer at our company, you will be responsible for creating custom applications and leading projects through their entire life cycle. You will work in a distributed environment with a team of exceptional engineers, tackling problems and resolving complex issues. Your role will involve:
Writing well designed, efficient Kotlin code that functions seamlessly across various devices. - Designing and building modern Android user interfaces using Jetpack Compose. - Building scalable and maintainable architectures using MVVM Clean Architecture principles. - Employing Kotlin Coroutines and Flow for asynchronous and reactive programming. - Developing visually appealing screens in an Android environment. - Supporting continuous improvement by staying updated with the rapidly evolving mobile development world. - Implementing modularized Android architectures for large-scale applications. - Actively participating in client meetings. - Working independently on coding tasks and providing support to junior team members. - Demonstrating a good understanding of information security procedures and baseline controls. - Utilizing modern development workflows including Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated builds. Preferred qualifications for this role include:
A 2- or 4-year degree in CS/Engineering, bootcamp graduation, or self-taught practical experience. - 5+ years of professional hands-on Android Development experience. - Experience in building apps using Kotlin. - Familiarity with Jetpack libraries such as ViewModel, LiveData/Flow, Navigation, Room, and WorkManager. - Experience with dependency injection frameworks like Hilt or Dagger. - Knowledge of Android security best practices. - Proficiency with Android SDK. - Strong communication and problem-solving skills. - Ability and ambition to lead Android projects. - Previous experience with Agile development, preferably SCRUM. - Comfortable striving for full unit test coverage.
