We are seeking an Application Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience in an application engineering or inside sales role within the pump and controls industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in positive displacement pumps, pump control systems, and the ability to review and quote based on engineering specifications. In this role, you will work closely with our sales team, distributors, engineers, and end-users to analyze application requirements, develop technical proposals, and recommend optimal solutions. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring that our solutions meet customer needs, industry standards, and technical requirements. ## Responsibilities
Required:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in Application Engineering or Inside Sales in the pump and controls industry. - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university. - Extensive knowledge of positive displacement pumps (rotary lobe, progressive cavity, gear, or diaphragm pumps). - Experience in reviewing, interpreting, and quoting from engineering specifications. - Strong background in pump selection, system design, and performance analysis. - Familiarity with pump control systems, automation, and electrical integration (VFDs, PLCs, sensors). - Ability to develop technical proposals, quotations, and bid responses with a high degree of accuracy. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), CRM systems, and CAD software (preferred but not required). Preferred:
Experience in wastewater, industrial processing, or agricultural applications. - Working knowledge of fluid dynamics, mechanical seals, and material compatibility. - Prior experience collaborating with OEMs, engineering firms, and large industrial customers. ## Benefits
