As a Data Product Owner for the Know Your Third Party (KY3P) team at S&P Global Market Intelligence, you will report into the Product Manager for the KY3P - IDA Team. Your role is crucial in delivering essential intelligence that clients rely on to make impactful decisions. The team is dedicated to building the RDX Datastore, a repository of datasets from various sources and domains like financial health, location risk, cyber, etc. You will be working on existing data feed integrations from multiple internal S&P product teams and third-party partners. **Key Responsibilities:**
Define and manage the product backlog for data store, data integration, and analytics initiatives. - Prioritize and groom backlog items in alignment with business goals and technical feasibility. - Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical user stories with clear acceptance criteria. - Support sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives in an Agile environment. - Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders. - Collaborate with architects, software developers, and QA teams to ensure smooth delivery. - Create and enhance the data model as required, set up data dictionaries, and ensure correct data ingestion. - Own and deliver existing data feed API integrations related requirements. - Write and review SQL queries for data validation and transformations. - Proficiency in Python and/or R for data analysis is a plus. - Own release documentation, conduct product training/demo sessions, and perform product UAT. **Required Qualifications:**
Total experience of 12+ years in a product owner role. - 5 to 7 years of experience as a Data Product Owner or Data Integration Specialist in a data-centric environment. - Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (Advanced degree preferred). - Strong understanding of Data Products and relevant technologies like DMBS/SQL, Data models, APIs, Amazon RedShift, Apache Airflow. - Experience in designing, implementing, and/or maintaining data systems and transformation processes. - Proficiency in query languages and interpreting complex database structures. - Strong attention to detail and clarity of requirements. - Proven experience working with strategic external stakeholders. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management. - Experience in structured and unstructured data storage solutions (e.g., SQL, Postgres, AWS S3). - Prior experience working in global teams with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
