You will manage the firm's Enhanced Customer Due Diligence (ECDD) escalation process, ensuring high-risk clients receive proportionate, timely, and robust risk mitigation. Why PwC? What you'll do: Lead the ECDD escalations function to deliver timely, high-quality outcomes on high-risk client matters. Own the end-to-end ECDD escalation workflow, including outreach to internal stakeholders for additional information and documentation. Oversee the pre-assessment and investigation process on escalated ECDD cases, ensuring proportionate risk mitigation measures are applied. Deliver clear, commercially aware, regulatory, compliant, and risk-based guidance to relationship teams and partners on sensitive ECDD requirements. Build and maintain effective governance, reporting, and performance metrics for the ECDD escalations portfolio. Drive continuous improvement of ECDD processes, templates, and guidance to increase efficiency and consistency. Collaborate closely with all stakeholders. What we're looking for: Significant experience (7+ years) in AML/CTF/Sanctions, with deep expertise in Enhanced Due Diligence (ECDD/EDD) and client outreach/escalation management. Proven track record handling complex, high-risk client cases in a professional services or regulated environment. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence senior partners and clients. Thorough knowledge of the AML/CTF Act, AU Sanctions Act, AUSTRAC and ASO expectations, and risk-based ECDD requirements. Desirable: Prior experience in professional services (legal, accounting, or consulting), certifications such as CAMS or equivalent AML qualifications, and experience with case management or workflow tools.
