Network Development Manager, Frontier Networking

The Core Networking team is looking for a Sr. Network Development Manager to join our Network Fabric Engineering (NFE) team. As a Network Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing teams that build, deploy and scale the Amazon networks that support AWS, customers, and other business units, across multiple global datacenters. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. As part of this Network Development Manager role, a successful candidate will be responsible for managing one of our global teams aligned with one of our network fabrics. Direct reports will include Network Development Engineers, who own design and optimization of the future state of the global Amazon network. The Topology team is expected to identify optimal and efficient designs to manage traffic flows, failure scenarios and optimal capacity. The team is also responsible for deep-dive and root-cause analysis of events, which impact our customers ensuring that we improve our processes and designs in order to avoid customer impact in the future. AWS leaders are highly-technical and understand their environment to accurately represent operational issues and exercise high judgment during high severity events. As the manager of one of our Topology teams, successful candidates will be responsible for setting and delivering on the strategic vision for the team.
