Software Engineer- Ruby on Rails

Sound knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL

Ability to write Stored Procedures

Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization using monitoring and troubleshooting tools

Working experience with Nginx, Phusion Passenger

Proficiency with code versioning tools such as Git, Github, SVN

Knowledge of JSON and XML

Good understanding of Unix commands

Troubleshoot issues and tickets from end users

Monitor and support Systems and Batch processes

Lead, mentor, and motivate team members

Write maintainable, scalable, clean, and efficient code

Follow coding standards, unit-testing, code reviews, and version control

Work in agile development life cycle and attend daily Scrum meetings

Follow release cycles and commit to deadlines

Continuously update the design and implementation in the technical specification document

Work closely with the development manager to achieve common goals

Provide regular status updates on the development owned and identify risks

Continually look for opportunities to improve coding, module structure, and response time of queries
