As a Manager in the Fund Financial Reporting team at EY GDS Assurance FAAS FSO WAM, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of service delivery to clients in the Wealth & Asset Management sector. Your responsibilities will include:
Directing the daily progress of fieldwork and informing Supervisors of engagement status
Following through on client requests in a timely fashion and managing expectations regarding the timing of deliverables and reports
Demonstrating a good understanding of accounting concepts and applying this knowledge to complex client situations
Leading or participating in client workshops and undertaking practice development activities
Contributing to business development activities by identifying opportunities and contributing to proposals
Managing multiple client engagements, advising clients on finance transformation, regulatory compliance, and process optimization
Overseeing the preparation and review of financial statements and reports for alternative investment structures
Guiding teams in fund accounting, NAV finalization, reconciliations, and investor reporting
Developing and maintaining client relationships, driving business development, and mentoring junior team members
Staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies
Skills and attributes required for success in this role include:
Good understanding of US GAAP/UK GAAP/IFRS
Previous Wealth and Assets Management experience/knowledge essential
Ability to apply logic and problem-solving to complex Finance business problems
Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skills
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Flexibility and willingness to travel on short notice, as necessary
To qualify for this role, you must have:
Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA (US) or ACCA (UK)
7+ years of experience in Big 4s/fund houses/leading audit firms
