Overview
The Principal Business Manager shapes Esri’s long-term business strategy across products, services, and strategic business relationships. Operating as a senior business leader, this role provides judgment and direction on high-impact, cross-divisional initiatives that influence enterprise priorities. The Principal Business Manager defines scalable business frameworks, leads the most complex negotiations, and delivers strategic guidance on licensing, financial risk, regulatory requirements, and global business operations. With a high degree of autonomy, this role addresses ambiguous, first-of-kind challenges and ensures alignment between long-term strategy, operational execution, and Esri’s business objectives. Requirements
8+ years of experience in strategic business leadership roles
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent practical experience
Demonstrated success leading initiatives with enterprise-wide impact
Track record of shaping strategy beyond a single portfolio
Recognized thought leader
Experience designing business frameworks
Willingness and ability to travel 10-20% for strategic meetings, events, and/or tradeshows
