Associate/Senior Associate-Credit Analysis/Leverage Lending

MBA (Finance) / CA (CPA equivalent) / CFA (preferred)

3-5 years of experience in financial modeling and credit report writing or Equity report writing

Proficiency in Advanced MS Excel

Prior experience in working on LBO models is preferred

Excellent written and spoken communication skills This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a strong financial background to contribute to the analysis and decision-making process of the company. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting historical financial statements in excel. This includes a thorough analysis of Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement of both public and private companies. You will need to review supplementary schedules, notes, and MD&A to break down financial data accurately and normalize figures for exceptional items. Your role also involves creating financial projections based on various scenarios like management case, sponsor case, upside, and downside case. Your key responsibilities will include analyzing operating metrics to forecast major line items such as Revenues and EBITDA using key drivers specific to the company. You will be required to prepare detailed capital structure and debt amortization schedules, understanding different classes of debt and financing options used in deals. Additionally, you will analyze pro forma credit metrics and prepare recovery analysis for different debt pieces based on recovery values for each asset type. You should have a strong understanding of credit risk fundamentals and experience in risk analysis using methods like Porters five forces model. Your ability to draft analytical reports encompassing financial commentary, industry research, and model case scenarios will be essential. You will also need to analyze financial covenants applicable to borrowers and be proficient in calculating IRR and using valuation techniques like DCF and Peer multiple. In addition to the technical responsibilities, you should be able to conduct detailed Quality Checks, deliver high-quality work within strict deadlines, and work effectively under pressure both independently and as part of a team.
