As a Software Development Engineer in Test at TraceLink, your role involves building and executing automated tests for the company's software products. Your responsibilities will include:
Executing tests on the TraceLink platform and application. - Extending and maintaining automation frameworks. - Preparing and presenting clear reports on defect findings for developers to reproduce problems and for the Quality Engineering team to verify fixes. - Verifying defect fixes. - Building tooling for automated testing. - Programmatically interfacing testing tools with the TraceLink platform. - Creating testing tools configurable for non-developers and capable of simulating real-world transaction volumes. - Providing high-level analysis to apply appropriate technologies to solve conceptual problems. - Researching new technology and tools for potential application at TraceLink. - Collaborating with engineers to ensure testability concerns are incorporated into product design. Qualifications required for this role:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, software engineering, or related field. - 2-5 years of experience in test automation engineering with programmatic interaction. - Proficiency in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Eclipse, Ant or Maven, Unix, and automated unit test frameworks like TestNG. - Experience in developing and testing web services and APIs. - Ability to develop and execute formal test plans, data sets, and test configurations for enterprise-class applications. Helpful skills and experience that would be advantageous include:
Familiarity with cloud-based applications on platforms like Amazon Web Services. - Experience in the pharmaceutical industry. - Basic understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI systems. - Exposure to testing LLM-based applications and designing test scenarios for AI systems. - Knowledge of evaluation metrics for LLM outputs and exposure to automation frameworks for validating AI/ML model behavior.
