On Press Diagnostic - System Engineer Description - We are looking for a SW Systems Engineer to join our SW LAB in the R&D organization and play a key role in the definition, development, and integration of On-Press Troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities for HP Indigo digital presses (Series 5 & 6). In this role, you will work at the intersection of system engineering, product behavior, and field diagnostics, driving features that empower the customer operator, serviceability, and customer uptime. You will act as a system-level owner of On-Press diagnostic, translating real-world press challenges into robust Software solutions. Key Responsibilities Translate product and field requirements into On-press troubleshooting and diagnostic specifications and software requirements. Lead diagnostic capabilities across subsystems (SW, electronics, mechanics, process) Act as the technical integrator between SW developers' domains to ensure consistent behavior and feature readiness Work closely with LPPD, service, and field teams to capture real-world failure modes and translate them into solutions Perform feature integration (simulator and press) to ensure feature readiness Lead or participate in design reviews (DR), technical discussions, and risk assessments Implementation AI solution to improve our processes and solve day-to-day challenges Drive continuous improvement of feature quality, robustness, and usability Document knowledge, flows, and system behavior in organizational tools (e.g., Confluence) Job Requirements: B.Sc. provides equal employment opportunity to all employees and prospective employees, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, sexual orientation, age, disability, or status as a protected veteran, marital status, familial status, physical or mental disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic predisposition or carrier status, uniformed service status, political affiliation or any other characteristic protected by applicable national, federal, state, and local law(s).
