As a Senior Billing Analyst at New Relic, you will be the technical engine of the global billing operations, playing a crucial role in supporting the company's 'order-to-cash' efficiency. Your responsibilities will involve executing daily billing functions within an automated environment to ensure accurate and timely invoicing based on customer usage data. Your goal will be to contribute to the elimination of revenue leakage through standardized credit lifecycles and global playbooks. - **Operational Excellence**:
Execute the daily operations of the global billing lifecycle with 100% accuracy for monthly, quarterly, and annual billing cycles. - Maintain data integrity between product telemetry and financial systems for New Relic's usage-based billing. - Contribute to and optimize the Global Billing Process Playbook, documenting all processes for invoicing and amendments. - **Credit & Query Management**:
Manage the end-to-end credit lifecycle and resolve complex billing inquiries in collaboration with Sales, Collections, and Deal Desk. - Identify manual reconciliation workflows and assist in deploying RPA solutions with technical teams. - **Audit & Control**:
Support the implementation of financial controls and provide documentation for internal and external audit requests. - Perform reconciliations during month-end to reduce the financial close cycle. Your qualifications should include:
4+ years of experience in Billing or Revenue Operations within a SaaS environment. - Deep understanding of recurring revenue, consumption-based billing, and deferred revenue concepts. - Proficiency with Billing Platforms (e.g., Zuora), Salesforce, and NetSuite. - Advanced Excel skills for pivoting large datasets to resolve billing errors. - Ability to effectively communicate complex billing logic and usage data to customers and internal stakeholders. **Bachelor's degree** in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. If you have a 'process-first' mentality and prefer automating tasks, experience with major billing system migrations, or reconciling third-party Marketplace billing like AWS or Azure, it would be a bonus. New Relic values diversity and inclusion, and we believe in empowering our employees to achieve success through a flexible workforce model. As part of our hiring process, a criminal background check will be required, and we consider applicants with arrest and conviction records based on individual circumstances and applicable laws. Please note that headhunters and recruitment agencies should not submit resumes/CVs directly to managers, and New Relic does not accept unsolicited resumes from third-party agencies. Our evaluation of candidates is based on qualifications and does not discriminate based on protected characteristics.
