The QMS Staff Engineer (E5) supports the Quality Management Systems team in maintaining compliance with global standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO/IEC 17025, VDA 6.3, and others) and customer/regulatory requirements. This role focuses on documentation, audit preparation, non-conformance resolution support, and continuous improvement activities, working under the guidance of global QMS Principal Engineers and the Process Management Manager. The incumbent will coach and teach the process approach, risk-based thinking, customer specific requirements and similar methodologies throughout the organization Maintain and update QMS documentation, procedures, and records in line with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO/IEC 17025, and AS9100D requirements. Support the preparation and coordination of internal, customer, and regulatory audits (including evidence collection, tracking findings, and corrective actions) Organize and maintain training records, audit schedules, and compliance certificates. Collaborate with team members and process owners to ensure documentation is clear, current, and accessible. Prepare agendas, checklists, and supporting materials for audits. Assist with reporting of quality metrics, closure of non-conformities, and continual improvement initiatives. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes (e.g., 5 Why, 8D). Use QMS software tools (e.g., CompliantPro, SharePoint) for document control and audit management. Work under the direction and mentorship of E7-level Principal Engineers and the QMS Manager. Develop and conduct QMS internal trainings as required Goodyear is one of the world's largest tire companies.
