Principal Data Scientist (m/f/d)

As Principal Data Scientist, you will define and drive the data science strategy across AutoScout24, with a strong focus on AI, machine learning, and Generative AI. You will work closely with product, engineering, and business leaders to turn data into scalable products that create clear business impact. You will lead senior data scientists and act as a technical role model across the company. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• define and own the data science and AI strategy across the organization
• lead development and scaling of predictive and generative AI models for marketplace and fintech use cases
• partner with product and business leaders to align ML initiatives with company goals
• design scalable ML systems and cloud-based workflows for training and deployment, with a strong focus on AWS
• build and operate production-ready ML solutions using AWS services (e.g. SageMaker, S3, Lambda, EMR, etc.)
• ensure model quality, monitoring, governance, and compliance in production
• mentor and develop data scientists and act as senior technical advisor

YOU COME WITH

• 10+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or applied AI
• strong hands-on skills in Python, SQL, and common ML frameworks
• proven experience with GenAI and LLMs in real products
