Job Description Minimum Qualifications • Minimum of 3 years of problem-solving breakdowns and proactive preventative maintenance to avoid machine malfunction and unnecessary downtime. • PLC and Electrical experience required. • Stable work history. • High School Diploma or GED. • Previous manufacturing experience preferred. • Successful candidates must be able to work full time and any shift in a fast paced and continuous production team environment. In addition, they must be able to work overtime in 4 hour increments either before or after a scheduled shift. Provides technical support in the manufacturing of bacon. Must be able to lead a small team of maintenance coordinators. Must be versatile and able to problem solve breakdowns in addition to being proactive with adequate preventative maintenance to avoid machine malfunction and unnecessary downtime. Works with all team members to meet production goals within operating budgets. Ideal candidates must be safety and quality orientated along with demonstrates adaptability and willingness to work in a team orientated, fast paced manufacturing work environment that meets strict quality and safety standards. Responsibilities & Duties: Able to lead a small team of maintenance coordinators Works with all departments to meet or surpass the plant's safety goals Follows all GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices) Ensures compliance with company policies and procedure Participates and provides input with the team during KHMS meetings Prioritizes and coordinates maintenance work to ensure maximum equipment uptime Troubleshoots through PLC's Ability to make program changes Proficient with AllenBradly and RS5000 to troubleshoot and resolve issues Able to "remote access" programs and utilize Asset Center as needed Able to fix process issues Troubleshoots and calibrates temperature probes Programs and replaces VFD's Capable of retrieving and downloading programs into HMI's Experience in Mettler Toledo X-ray and Weighing technology Use of Factory Talk Performs troubleshooting and equipment repairs as needed to minimize downtime Installs/ repairs/ maintains all types of electrical and mechanical equipment including PLC's, wiring, motor starters, switches, motors, gearboxes, pumps, filters, actuators, valves, etc Reads and understands all types of blueprints and CAD drawings Operates power tools, hand tools, and electrical and instrument test equipment to install, maintain, and troubleshoot plant equipment Operates trade specific tools including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, and verniers Performs all necessary documentation of work performed and any unusual conditions, or defective equipment with the highest accuracy possible in SAP Executes Food Quality PM's as assigned Executes ownership of tools and shop by maintaining good housekeeping and a clean and orderly work area. Mentors and trains other Technicians and Apprentices in technical and leadership skills. Performs other duties as assigned.
