As a Mechanical Design Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in the design of HVAC systems for a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, and data center projects. Your attention to detail and expertise will contribute to the delivery of code-compliant and efficient designs. Here is a breakdown of your responsibilities:
Perform HVAC load calculations following standard methods such as ASHRAE guidelines. - Design air distribution systems, including duct sizing and layout. - Select appropriate equipment such as AHU, FCU, VRF, Chillers, Pumps, etc. - Prepare HVAC design drawings including layouts, sections, and schematics. - Calculate static pressure and ESP. - Create Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and technical specifications. - Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards from organizations like ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, International Code Council. - Coordinate effectively with Electrical, Plumbing, and Architectural teams. - Attend client meetings, address technical queries, and provide solutions. - Review shop drawings and offer technical insights. In addition to your key responsibilities, it is important that you possess the following skills:
Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles. - Previous experience in commercial, residential, or data center projects. - Understanding of ventilation calculations and fresh air requirements. - Familiarity with local and international codes. - Basic grasp of energy efficiency concepts. Preferred qualifications include:
Experience with US Projects. - Knowledge of BIM coordination. - Understanding of sustainable design practices.
