As a Finance Analyst at Amazon's Finance Operations, Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) team, you will play a crucial role in supporting Central Accounting and Tax Compliance. Your responsibilities will include:
Performing month-end activities such as closing sub ledgers, reconciling general ledger accounts, analyzing balance sheet accounts, and preparing reports. - Conducting month-end Flux analysis for all P&L and Balance sheet accounts, sharing insights with stakeholders, and providing analysis on reasons for changes. - Demonstrating a high level of professional skill and knowledge in accounting to address complex issues and consult with leadership for resolution. - Ensuring compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls, documenting processes, and driving continuous process improvements. - Preparing Balance sheet reconciliations and addressing any issues identified promptly. - Collaborating with auditors on audit-related queries and facilitating smooth audit completion. - Ensuring GRC compliance, internal control, and aligning improvements with stakeholders. - Supporting new business/system launches including UAT of accounting entries and financial reporting. Qualifications Required:
4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
4+ years of analyzing key financial performance indicators (KPIs)
4+ years of creating financial and operational reports/data sets for business decision-making
4+ years of driving process improvements through automation and analysis
3+ years of experience in managing and leading a team of 3+ members
Preferred Qualifications:
4+ years of involvement in continuous improvement projects to enhance controllership
4+ years of experience in identifying and resolving incomplete or inaccurate data
