As the Primary DBA, you will be responsible for owning all Data Protection databases across production, UAT, and development environments. This includes ensuring database availability, performance, security, backup, recovery, and lifecycle management. You will also define and enforce DBA standards, operational guardrails, and support models. **Key Responsibilities:**
Act as the primary DBA for Data Protection databases
Own database availability, performance, security, backup, recovery, and lifecycle management
Serve as technical escalation for incidents and data integrity issues
Design, build, and maintain enterprise SQL Server databases
Lead database strategy for new services and platform migrations
Proactively monitor and tune database performance
Provide oversight and support for ETL and ingestion pipelines
Develop complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures
Own database level security controls and regulatory readiness
Lead response to major incidents and mentor engineers on best practices
Own DBA runbooks, operational documentation, and capacity plans
**Qualifications Required:**
Experience in owning and managing SQL Server databases
Strong knowledge of database design, performance tuning, and capacity management
Expertise in ETL processes, SQL engineering, and reporting enablement
Proficiency in security controls, regulatory compliance, and operational leadership
Excellent documentation skills and standards adherence
