The YouthBuild Model coach provides results-driven, high quality technical assistance and coaching for a focused portfolio of YouthBuild programs piloting career pathways in Energy Infrastructure and Manufacturing. The Catalyst Pilot, new in 2026, will ensure graduates don’t just secure jobs—they advance in careers with stability, growth potential, and resilience against automation. Reporting to the Senior Director of Network Engagement & Program Success and supporting the Chief Program Officer for projects related to Catalyst Pilot and other YouthBuild Global Affiliated Network sites, the Coach will support the implementation of the YouthBuild model and enhance network engagement by connecting with and learning from affiliates to create learning materials and trainings related to the needs of YouthBuild program staff. The coach will effectively implement the YouthBuild Global TA Framework elements of Relational Trust & Care, High Expectations with Strong Support, Responsive & Data-Informed Coaching, Intentional Planning & Practical Support, and Consistency and Follow-Through. The role will be centered on promoting positive youth development, increasing a sense of community among affiliates, and ensuring the local programs in the Coach’s portfolio are meeting network performance standards, essential components, and the specific performance targets of the Catalyst Pilot. Collaboration with employer partners and the Strategic Partnerships team will be critical to the success of this role, which supports the effective implementation of new career pathways at a target group of YouthBuild programs. The Catalyst Pilot Coach is a field-facing position, providing technical assistance and cultivating relationships with staff and leaders in the field. This role will be a key part of YouthBuild Global (YBG)’s efforts to elevate positive youth development, education, career pathways, leadership, and program sustainability. The Coach is a data-driven, results-oriented, empathic leader who will play a pivotal part in shaping the present and future of YouthBuild Global's mission and positioning the organization for greater network impact and outcomes for the young people we serve. ## Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Provide High Quality Coaching and Technical Assistance to YouthBuild Programs:
Effectively implement the YouthBuild Technical Assistance & Coaching framework to ensure core elements of 1) Relational Trust & Care, 2) High Expectations with Strong Support, 3) Responsive & Data-Informed Coaching, 4) Intentional Planning & Practical Support, and 5) Consistency and Follow-Through are met. - Establish regular, consistent communication with 20-25 YouthBuild programs to cultivate a collegial relationship that helps ensure programs meet their performance goals. - Connect local program staff to resources, trainings, or content experts to facilitate greater network impact and outcomes for YouthBuild participants. - Conduct virtual and in-person site visits to assess and support program implementation and provide recommendations for program enhancement. - Serve as the main point of contact at YouthBuild Global for Catalyst Pilot affiliates in portfolio. - Ensure all programs in portfolio are in good standing with the affiliated Network. Provide support and guidance to ensure affiliates in portfolio remain in good standing, practicing all essential components, and achieving performance targets. - Consistently and accurately document interactions with the programs in the portfolio utilizing a Salesforce platform. Career Pathway Implementation and Support
Collaborate with staff at YouthBuild affiliates as they engage with national and local employer partners including preparing staff and young people, hosting meetings, monitoring engagement activities, tracking and reporting data, and providing technical assistance to YouthBuild affiliates. - Coordinate with YouthBuild Global team to create, refine, and tools and resources (e.g. guides, training materials, fundraising materials, etc.) related to YouthBuild partnerships. - Manage tools and systems for gathering student placements/opportunities; improve tools/trackers as needed; review and report results. - Engage with YouthBuild program staff to compile and analyze program data to identify overall trends in success, areas for growth, outcomes, and program progress. Develop timely impact reports for both internal and external stakeholders. - Support and facilitate industry sector training sessions with YouthBuild programs covering topics such Workforce Readiness, Building Apprenticeships, and Data-Driven Decision-Making. ## Other Duties/Responsibilities
Project Management: Support and manage elements of Network Engagement events and projects, both in person and online. - Report Back: As the inaugural Catalyst Pilot Coach, report project progress to Network Engagement team, as well as prepare reports for ELT and Board. - Catalyst Pilot Development and Growth: In the first year of the Catalyst Pilot, support development of pilot operations and programmatic elements; support potential expansion of pilot to additional programs and pathways. - Other, as needed: Perform various managerial and administrative duties (e.g., preparing training, scheduling meetings and trainings, writing reports, etc.). ## Requirements
Education & Experience Required
The ideal candidate has a strong customer/partner service orientation, exercises good judgment, works well with a team, and has deep enough knowledge of the YouthBuild model to be able to effectively coach others leading this model; Is entrepreneurial, resourceful, and committed to YBG’s mission and the YouthBuild movement; Has technical skills including MS Office Suite software, database management and project management; Has experience coaching and/or providing 1:1 and group technical assistance to program leaders. ## Physical Effort Required
