Job Description The Site Reliability Engineer (Network Analyst level) is responsible for supporting the design, deployment, and operation of network infrastructure across both cloud-based and physical datacenter environments. This role focuses on hands-on support of networking systems, including cloud networking on Amazon Web Services (AWS), as well as physical network infrastructure such as datacenter equipment, connectivity, and appliances. The position involves working closely with senior engineers to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable network connectivity across distributed systems. This role is suited for engineers developing expertise in cloud and datacenter networking, working in a globally distributed infrastructure environment. Key Responsibilities: - Support the design, deployment, and operation of AWS networking infrastructure, including VPCs, subnets, routing, load balancers, and DNS (Route 53) - Assist in managing connectivity between cloud environments and physical datacenters, including integrations with external providers and services - Support configuration and operation of physical network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and related appliances - Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementations using Terraform for network resources and configurations - Troubleshoot network-related issues in production environments, including connectivity, latency, routing, and traffic flow problems - Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and root cause analysis (RCA) related to networking and infrastructure reliability - Contribute to monitoring and observability solutions for network performance and system health - Collaborate with platform, security, and development teams to ensure network configurations align with application and business requirements - Support implementation of best practices for network security, scalability, and high availability across cloud and on-premises environments Qualifications Basic Qualifications: 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience Preferred Qualifications: - 3–5 years of experience in Network Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure roles - Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) networking services, including VPC, Route Tables, Load Balancers, and DNS (Route 53) - Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, DNS, load balancing, and firewall concepts - Experience working with physical network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and datacenter connectivity - Experience troubleshooting network and connectivity issues in both cloud and on-premises environments - Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform - Solid understanding of Linux systems and networking behavior - Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) - Basic scripting or automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash) Preferred Qualifications: - Experience supporting hybrid environments (cloud and physical datacenter integration) - Familiarity with Kubernetes (EKS or similar) from a networking or connectivity perspective - Experience with network security practices, including security groups, ACLs, and firewall configuration - Exposure to multi-region or high-availability network architectures - Experience working in distributed or global teams Key Attributes: - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Attention to detail and ownership mindset - Ability to collaborate effectively across infrastructure, security, and application teams - Willingness to learn and grow in cloud and datacenter networking environments Visa is an EEO Employer Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status.
