As a QS Auditor, you will be responsible for reviewing, validating, and auditing quantity surveying activities, project estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), contractor claims, and cost control processes to ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and industry standards. Your role will involve identifying cost-saving opportunities, minimizing financial risks, and providing recommendations for process improvements. Key Responsibilities:
Review and audit BOQs, cost estimates, and interim/final bills submitted by contractors or consultants. - Validate measurements, quantities, and rates applied in billing and cost reporting. - Ensure accuracy and compliance with drawings, specifications, and contract documents. - Check adherence to company policies, contract terms, and procurement procedures. - Identify inconsistencies, overpayments, or deviations from approved budgets. - Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting observations, discrepancies, and recommendations. - Suggest process improvements for cost control and better resource utilization. - Coordinate with project teams, contractors, consultants, and management for clarifications. Required Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of Quantity Surveying principles, cost estimation, and measurement methods. - Sound understanding of contracts (FIDIC or equivalent) and construction documentation. - Excellent skills in BOQ verification, auditing, and financial analysis. - Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD, or QS-related software. - High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving ability. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently and maintain objectivity. Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying (mandatory). - Skilled certification (e.g., RICS, ICES) is an added advantage. - Experience in Quantity Surveying, with at least 23 years in audit / contracts review. - Experience in real estate, infrastructure, or construction projects preferred.
