As a Senior Mechanical Engineer in the Healthcare Reprocessing Department, your role will involve contributing to product development and sustainment of various sterilization modalities and medical equipment technologies. You will work within a cross-functional team, collaborating with engineering disciplines throughout the development lifecycle, from concept to final release. Your responsibilities will include:
Utilizing Creo and Product Life Management (PLM) for design support and collaborating with R&D Engineering from multiple sites
Leading drawing package activities
Generating reporting tools on designs for active projects
Initiating complex Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and developing implementation plans
Ensuring project design traceability
Preparing design sketches, layouts, and drawings for components, sub-assemblies, processes, or equipment
Providing accurate effort estimates and delivering commitments with high quality and on-time delivery
Performing drawing peer reviews before project engineering reviews
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum of 5 years (7 years preferred) of experience in product development
Experience in 3D CAD Modeling, particularly Creo
Familiarity with Sheet Metal, Piping, Machining, Casting, Molding, Welding, and GD&T
Proficiency in piping, sheet metal, casting, welding, and plastic designs
Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, Project, Visio, and other relevant software
BS in Mechanical Engineering required; MS in Mechanical Engineering preferred
Ability to work in a matrix team environment with internal and 3rd party development teams (onshore/offshore)
The company operates on a hybrid work model, where you will be expected to work from the office on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with the option for remote work on other days.
