Senior Data Scientist (RGG Services, Inc., Boston, Massachusetts):
Will work with the Data Science team to build innovative data science that power our online retail business. Specific responsibilities include:
- Work on challenging data science projects including Generative AI, NLP, image recognition, recommendation systems, advanced statistical prediction models, and other AI technologies to drive revenue and enhance personalized shopping experiences of our 50 million members. - Build end-to-end large-scale batch and real-time software data pipelines for data processing. - Identify and lead strategic analytics and predictive modeling opportunities, leveraging AI and machine learning (ML) to optimize business processes and product offerings. - Responsible for designing, executing, and managing advanced A/B testing frameworks, including the development of customized hypothesis testing methodologies, to validate and optimize product features, enhance user experience, and improve algorithmic performance. - Architect scalable software solutions and data services capable of handling complex, high-volume data workloads. - Work with a modern and robust technology stack, including Spark, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Snowflake, Airflow, and AWS services, to enable cloud-based data processing and machine learning at scale for internal and external use cases. - Lead and manage large-scale, cross-functional projects from conception through completion, engaging with internal teams including Marketing, Engineering, Merchandising, and Executive Leadership to assess data infrastructure needs and deliver impactful solutions to complex business problems. - Analyze problems to identify new AI opportunities leveraging data-driven insights involving cutting edge technology and software. - Brainstorm next-generation AI product ideas with other data scientists and engineers to build exciting projects used by millions of our customers daily. - Responsible for evaluating data science and AI strategies and software solutions to determine technical feasibility, ensure scalability, and validate alignment with organizational objectives. - Collaborate with engineering teams across departments to design and implement cross-functional data exchange and AI microservices, ensuring effective communication of Data Science requirements, integrating stakeholder needs, and supporting the development and deployment of AI-powered products. - Establish and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders from diverse teams, including Marketing, Merchandising, Studio Production and Engineering, to support data-driven initiatives. - Responsible for identifying, evaluating, and integrating emerging technologies and tools to advance the AI platform, with a focus on expanding Generative AI applications and improving the performance, scalability, and applicability of AI/ML systems for personalization and recommendation. - Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, fostering technical growth and promoting a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team and demonstrating leadership within the organization. - Serves as an AI evangelist for the organization, leading training sessions and tech talks, fostering collaboration and team morale, and demonstrating professionalism in receiving feedback and managing responses. - Responsible for solving complex problems with innovative approaches and best practices, identifying and addressing technical issues in data architecture in collaboration with crossfunctional teams, while continuously pursuing growth through curiosity and challenging opportunities. - Responsible for leading research initiatives, translating complex machine learning and AI research papers into functional code, prototypes, and production-ready models to solve advanced business challenges and enhance AI/ML algorithmic capabilities. - Work in multi-functional agile teams to continuously experiment, iterate, and deliver on data-driven software product objectives.
