Conduct desk-based research on new-age technology, economic shifts, and livelihood changes in the Global South using secondary literature and data sources. - Assist in developing methodologies to measure job loss and occupational changes in the Indian and Global South labour markets. - Help in framing research proposals, operations, and methodologies related to key public issues concerning jobs and technology. - Analyze qualitative interview data using STATA and survey data from women workers using Excel and SPSS. - Translate insights from quantitative analysis for academic writing, practice reports, and media communication. - Contribute to writing reports, academic papers, and other outputs. - Support teaching aspects of quantitative research methods or data visualization for IIHS' teaching and training programs. - Assist in various IIHS activities including academics, research, training, practice, and operations. - Participate in institution-building activities at IIHS and fulfill assigned tasks. - Travel for IIHS work within or outside the country as required. **Qualifications Required:**
Master's degree in Economics, Public Policy, or Social Sciences with 1-3 years of relevant experience. - Knowledge of technology and society interface debates, digital platforms, AI, livelihoods, occupations, and employment. - Familiarity with data governance, responsible AI, and basic concepts of artificial intelligence. - Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods and research ethics. - Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially MS Excel, and ability to use SPSS, STATA, and tools like Kobobox. - Strong team-working skills, interdisciplinary collaboration abilities, and effective communication skills. - Ability to quickly read and comprehend academic and grey literature within humanities and market research.
