Job Type: Permanent Build a brilliant future with Hiscox About the role We are looking for a motivated and curious Group Privacy Analyst to join our Lisbon-based Group Risk team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to grow into a Privacy and Risk specialist, supported by an experienced and collaborative global team. In this role, you will help deliver our annual privacy plan and gain hands-on experience across privacy, data protection and emerging AI risk. You'll work closely with the Group Chief Privacy & Responsible AI Officer and subject-matter experts from across the business, building skills in a supportive environment where learning is encouraged. This position is part of the second line of defence within Group Risk, giving you broad exposure to key business areas including marketing, underwriting, distribution, operations, technology and data teams. Key Responsibilities Privacy BAU Activities Managing and supporting Data Subject Rights Requests which are primarily access (DSARs) and erasure requests. This includes end-to-end workflow management and collaboration with IT. Reviewing, analysing and responding to data events, including producing management information. Designing and delivering awareness materials and training sessions for teams across the business. Helping improve and optimise privacy processes, including data subject rights workflows. Leading analytical tasks and supporting the production of Key Risk Indicators and other metrics. Contributing to the daily running of the Data Protection Office including allocating work from the group mailbox. AI Risk Supporting the rollout, awareness and continuous improvement of the RAISE (Hiscox AI Risk Management) framework. Producing and maintaining key AI-related risk metrics. Working with data science, project, technology and business teams to promote responsible AI use. Monitoring and tracking AI-related risks and developments across the organisation. Group Functions Support Supporting the People function, including reviews and updates to employee privacy notices. Coordinating work with Procurement, assisting in process redesign and supplier-related assessments. Supporting DPIAs (Data Protection Impact Assessments) across Group functions. Helping operate our enterprise privacy platform (OneTrust) and contributing to a consistent, best-practice One Hiscox approach. Skills/ Qualifications/ Experience required 1–3 years of experience in privacy, data protection, or a related area. A privacy qualification such as CIPP/E or CIPM, or the motivation to obtain a fully sponsored certification in your first year. Experience using OneTrust or other privacy or insurance technologies. An initiative-taking, positive "can do" mindset. Strong organisation skills and comfort managing multiple tasks. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently when needed. Confident interpersonal and communication skills – you will collaborate with colleagues and customers across the Group.
