Job Summary Data Center Critical Facilities Engineer operates, manage, maintains, and repair HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning) systems, critical and non-critical Power systems, plumbing, fire control and suppression, roofing system, exterior grounds and perform all related vendor support is a mission critical environment. This fast-paced role supports the overall functioning of the Data Center by focusing on maintaining and improving the facility's critical infrastructure. This includes all regular schedule maintenance and ad-hoc repairs/ troubleshooting. Responsibilities Facility/Infrastructure Maintenance Performs site inspections and monitors the building and Data Center alarms Performs preventative maintenance on site infrastructure (e.g. maintenance of primary infrastructures), or manages vendors Assists more senior staff in repairs and corrective maintenance Performing site rounds on all critical areas and systems Site Administration Maintains notes and records of activity fulfillment in the ticketing system Completion of site logs and data gathering for permits, such as MOPs and script members Closing of preventive maintenance work orders and filing of service reports Customer Management Perform site capacity audits and completes basic work requests and circuit installations/ terminations Supports customer satisfaction with timely adherence to following basic order execution requirements Delivers quality customer service experience when interfacing with customers. Incident Management Assists more senior staff with responding to all on-site incidents and acts as directed Will be the primary responders to any incidents Perform the necessary escalation to duty Engineer and Manager Assist duty Engineers for the resolution of the incident Collaboration Provides assistance to department during routine maintenance activities Supports fulfillment of projects under close supervision. Qualifications 1+ years of experience in critical facility engineering, electrical maintenance, or a similar role within a data center or critical infrastructure environment preferred At least a Higher Nitec/Diploma in an Engineering field required Able to handle heavy loads and able to perform hands-on activities in tight spaces Ability to support 24x7 operations and requires flexibility to work assigned shifts, including after-hours, weekends, and public holidays.
