Contribute to procurement operations that directly support terminal performance and operational continuity across the Americas region Develop strong exposure to regional and global supply chain stakeholders within a structured procurement framework Build long-term procurement expertise through hands-on sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management Work in a role that offers stability, clear scope, and alignment with business priorities while supporting healthy work-life balance Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end purchase requisitions for goods and services, from request validation through delivery, ensuring compliance with policies and defined KPIs Evaluate purchase requests, confirming completeness and accuracy of supporting documentation prior to sourcing activities Identify, qualify, and engage suppliers by analyzing market pricing, availability, lead times, and service capability Conduct technical and commercial evaluations, coordinate tender processes, and support supplier award decisions Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and delivery conditions to achieve optimal total cost of ownership while meeting internal stakeholder needs Expedite purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and uninterrupted operational capacity Analyze spend patterns and recurring procurement needs to identify cost-saving opportunities and support long-term sourcing strategies What We Are Looking For Continuous improvement mindset: we are looking for someone who brings a strong mindset of continuous improvement – someone who is naturally curious, committed to solving problems at the root, and driven to make things better every day Bachelor's degree in purchasing, business administration, management, or a related discipline Solid experience in operational procurement, with strong understanding of purchasing processes, supplier sourcing, and vendor management Proven negotiation and analytical skills, with the ability to balance cost, quality, service, and stakeholder expectations Strong capability to manage high volumes of requisitions, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines in dynamic environments Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, with confidence in analyzing and interpreting procurement data Fluent communication skills in English and Spanish, both written and verbal, to support regional coordination Customer-oriented approach with the ability to collaborate across functions, build trusted supplier relationships, and uphold high ethical standards If you like taking on big challenges, now's the time to join APM Terminals!
