PORTFOLIO GROUP The Portfolio Group works side-by-side with the Deal team at Bain Capital with focus on value creation for the entire portfolio of assets. This includes Identifying strategic, operational, organizational, financial, M&A and exit value creation opportunities, based on a clear vision of the desired state of the business and a focused and pragmatic plan to get there Providing extensive support, whenever needed, to portfolio company management across different issues Implementing change through influence, project management, leadership and direction of external advisors and counterparties PROJECT OVERVIEW Support Special Situations Portfolio Team on portfolio management related data analytics and web-based front-end development for data visualization required in standard business reports. Internship period: August to end of the year in 2024 Key requirements: Experience with web-based frontend development (Html, Java-Script etc.) on top of existing backend data infrastructure Strong python scripting capabilities and can support maintenance / enhance of existing back end infrastructure Experience with data visualization technologies (e.g. leveraging charting APIs to produced custom complex chart outputs from data grids) Experience with cloud-based computing environments (e.g. AWS) Experience with interacting with data in SQL database Strong execution ability and independent problem solving-skills Good communications skills and strong ability to distill key insights from complex technical situations Familiar with basic business / investment concepts Prefer experience with working with financial institutions in similar context Based on HK and can work on site 3-5 days per week Bain Capital, LP is one of the world's leading private multi-asset alternative investment firms that creates lasting impact for our investors, teams, businesses, and the communities in which we live.
