As an Underwriting Officer/Analyst at Citi, you will play a crucial role in the Institutional Credit Management (ICM) team by managing credit risk associated with Citi's Large Corporates portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:
Maintaining coverage of a low-to-medium complexity portfolio of obligors and authoring timely and thorough Annual and Quarterly review memos
Authoring low complexity Transaction memos
Building projection models and monitoring the client portfolio by analyzing financial filings, news, and rating agencies reports
Ensuring consistency and accuracy in financial spreads and ratios throughout all monitoring memos
Preparing accurate supporting documentation for internal credit ratings and classifications
Submitting workflows in a timely manner and following up with Risk or Underwriters for approval promptly
Developing and demonstrating a basic understanding of internal policies and procedures
Ensuring timely completion of remediations identified during the internal testing process
Assisting with ad hoc projects and completing all mandatory compliance/analytical trainings
Effectively communicating questions, concerns, and potential delays pertaining to portfolio monitoring with Underwriters
Key Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience required for this role include:
Minimum 3-6 years of experience in financial analysis
Strong foundation in financial analysis, interpreting financial statements, and identifying key risk indicators
Foundational understanding of financial modeling and valuation techniques
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to interpret and apply internal credit policies and procedures
