The Strategic Finance Associate will play a critical role in supporting Oklo's corporate long-range financial planning, capital allocation and investment decisions, and financing activities. This individual will own project-level financial models across Oklo's capital project portfolio spanning Power, Fuel, and Isotopes, perform investment analysis for new capital projects and business units, and support the broader strategic finance function including capital raising, long-range planning, and executive decision-making support. The Strategic Finance Associate will report to the Director of Finance. This role offers meaningful visibility with senior leaders including the CFO, VP Finance, and executive team. This is a high-impact, analytical role ideal for a finance professional with strong modeling skills, project finance experience, and an interest in advanced nuclear energy. Specific responsibilities may include:
Own and maintain detailed project-level financial models for capital projects across Oklo's Power, Fuel, and Isotopes business units
Prepare presentation materials for executive leadership and the board of directors to inform capital allocation and investment decisions
Support the corporate long-range financial model by ensuring project-level inputs are current and accurately reflected at the enterprise level
Analyze unit economics and key cost drivers across Oklo’s Power, Fuel, and Isotopes product lines
Support capital raising activities (equity, debt, and project finance) by preparing financial projections, diligence materials, and investor presentations
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams to gather and integrate data inputs into financial models
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field
2-5 years of experience in investment banking, project finance, strategic finance, or a related analytical role
Industry exposure to energy, power, renewables, nuclear, or related capital-intensive infrastructure preferred
Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills; ability to build and maintain complex, multi-scenario project financial models
Working knowledge of project finance concepts including debt sizing, DSCR, IRR, tax equity, and sponsor returns
Strong understanding of capital structure, cash flow modeling, and investment economics
Excellent communication and presentation skills with strong attention to detail
Self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple concurrent workstreams
Prior experience at a high-growth startup is a plus
