As a Product Development Manager, your role will involve working closely with Chinese ecosystems/suppliers with tight timelines and a high focus on results. You will be responsible for managing and driving the entire product development process, both internally and externally, to ensure that all stakeholder timelines and deliverables are met. Your key responsibilities will include:
Achieving product quality and testing standards
Collaborating with sales to understand directives for customer projects and analyzing existing item sales to review and collaborate on the new product roadmap
Managing vendors, negotiating for cost-effective purchase of raw materials/semi-finished goods, and reducing delivery time while ensuring high quality
Ordering, tracking, and updating warehouse and category teams on the status and progress for product launches
Introducing, tracking, and maintaining key functional metrics to measure project management success
Ensuring high-level risk mitigation through data analysis, supply contracts, agreements, and proper risk control strategies
Balancing tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction
Preparing and maintaining performance reports to ensure visibility to respective stakeholders
The ideal candidate for this role ("Noisemaker") would have:
Strong experience of 5+ years in a product-based organization, with a Consumer Electronics background being a plus
Graduation from Tier 1 or Tier 2 Engineering colleges (such as IITs, NITs, IIITs, BITS, etc.), MBA preferred
Comfort with understanding the technical aspects of product development and testing processes and communicating with engineering teams on decision trade-offs
Tenacity, self-motivation, and the ability to ruthlessly drive and achieve business goals
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at stakeholder management
Strong negotiation and query-handling skills, result-oriented, ready to take ownership, and exhibit strong teamwork qualities
