As an R&D Project Manager III for the Quality Initiatives program at BMC, you will play a crucial role in leading the planning, execution, and governance of strategic quality programs across product engineering teams. Your responsibilities will include:
Serving as a key member of the Central Quality team, driving quality assessment across multiple R&D product lines. - Leading end-to-end project/program management for quality initiatives, including planning, execution, risk management, and reporting. - Driving the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Quality Management Systems (QMS). - Conducting and governing Quality Plan and Quality Assurance reviews to ensure compliance with organizational standards. - Partnering with R&D, Product, and Support teams to collect, analyze, and derive insights from quality metrics and data. - Defining, standardizing, and enhancing quality policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization. - Enabling and improving development processes aligned with DevOps and CI/CD, including test automation and tooling strategy. - Presenting data-driven insights, trends, and recommendations to leadership for informed decision-making. - Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, release efficiency, and customer experience. - Mentoring teams and influencing adoption of quality frameworks, tools, and governance models. In addition to the above responsibilities, you will also be expected to drive the adoption of AI/ML-driven solutions to enhance Quality Engineering. This includes:
Leveraging data analytics and AI insights to proactively identify quality gaps and optimization opportunities. - Promoting modern testing approaches such as self-healing automation, predictive analytics, and anomaly detection. - Collaborating with R&D teams to embed AI-enabled quality practices within CI/CD pipelines. - Staying current with advancements in AI for software quality and recommending scalable, innovative solutions. Qualifications required for this role include:
Bachelors degree (BE/BTech) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Masters degree preferred. - 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering, QA, or Project/Program Management within R&D organizations. - Strong understanding of SDLC, release cycles, and product engineering processes. - Proven experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS) design, implementation, and governance. - Experience conducting Quality Plans and QA reviews across complex product portfolios. - Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with experience in quality metrics and reporting. - Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation ecosystems. - Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional programs and influence senior stakeholders. - Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts and their application in Quality Engineering.
