As a Talent Specialist at University of the People, you play a crucial role in identifying future hiring needs, designing job descriptions, and sourcing candidates through various channels. Your responsibilities include conducting interviews, onboarding new hires, and maintaining positive employee relations to ensure worker satisfaction. Here are the key responsibilities you will be handling:
Responsible for the recruitment/hiring process, including candidate sourcing, background checks, shortlisting, and initial interviews. - Collaborate with headhunters to attract and retain top talent. - Assess candidates' skills, experience, and knowledge to match job requirements. - Assist Hiring Managers in conducting interviews and compiling consistent job requirements. - Schedule meetings, interviews, and HR events while maintaining the team's agenda. - Actively utilize online job boards, social media networks, and platforms to find qualified candidates. - Conduct orientations, onboarding, and update records with new hires. - Manage the interview, selection, and closing process efficiently. - Serve as a liaison with external organizations, affiliations, and agencies. - Conduct post-employment surveys to gather feedback. - Produce and submit reports on general HR activities. - Support other functions as assigned. Qualifications required for this position:
BA/BS degree
3 years of recruitment experience, with at least 1 year in bulk hiring recruitment
3 years of experience in Human Resources departments
Fluent English language skills
Strong understanding of HR functions, methods, strategies, procedures, and policies
Familiarity with sourcing techniques and selection processes
Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases
Proficiency in MS Office, database management, and internet search
Good time management skills
Nice to have qualifications:
Experience in an academic environment
