As a Database Engineer at our company, your role will involve designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing database systems hosted on AWS and Azure cloud platforms. You will be responsible for ensuring the security, availability, performance, and scalability of databases supporting our products and analytics within the Cloud and Cyber Security group. Working closely with infrastructure, delivery, and security teams, you will manage cloud-based database environments, implement best practices, and deliver reliable data solutions aligned with organizational goals. Key Skills & Experience required:
Timely and accurate processing of database change requests and maintenance of internal task trackers
Preparation and submission of internal/external audit reports and monthly database review reports
Adherence to process compliance standards with a focus on process improvement and automation
Expertise in MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and AWS/Azure database administration
Knowledge of database performance tuning, backup and recovery, and high-availability solutions
Strong understanding of security compliance and process documentation
Certifications such as EDB Postgres SQL Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, or equivalent

Designing, deploying, and managing cloud database solutions
Ensuring 99.9% or higher database uptime across AWS and Azure environments
Processing data change requests and resolving database incidents within defined SLAs
Ensuring full security compliance, preparing audit reports, implementing access controls, encryption, and compliance measures
Driving process enhancement through POCs, automation, and optimization initiatives
Achieving optimal query performance and resource utilization to minimize costs
Maintaining detailed documentation of database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
