Experience a diverse, multinational workplace where your operational insights directly influence how we work. As a Senior Quality Engineer - Planning and Coordination, you will be responsible for strategizing, coordinating, and governing all testing activities across applications and automation systems within the terminal operations environment. This role is not hands‑on testing, but rather focuses on ensuring the right environments, datasets, test plans, test cases, and resources are available and that testing cycles run smoothly and effectively. You will work closely with internal teams, vendors, and operational stakeholders to ensure issues are logged correctly, prioritised appropriately, and resolved in line with operational needs. You will also drive test governance, environment coordination, version management, and adherence to Global CAB processes. This position requires someone who has previously coordinated testing and quality assurance activities in a complex operational or industrial automation environment. This role is onsite 5 days a week based in one of our terminal and a valid driver's license and car are mandatory for this role. Responsibilities Test Strategy & Coordination Strategize and coordinate all testing activities across multiple systems and vendors (functional, regression, integration, performance, E2E, etc.). Ensure all test environments, datasets, test plans, and test cases are prepared, available, and aligned prior to test execution. Ensure testing standardisation across applications and automation solutions (standalone, integrated, end‑to‑end, volume, performance). Issue & Defect Governance Oversee and manage all open issues across vendors (backlog ownership). Ensure issues are logged correctly, with appropriate severity and detail. Liaise with super users and operations teams to validate severity, impact, and prioritisation. Drive triage efforts and ensure vendors deliver patches/fixes according to operational needs. Environment & Version Management Maintain production versions of TOS, ECS, GOS, FMS, and other terminal systems. Govern configuration changes and version control across systems. Strategize and decide which software versions can be tested against each other and in what sequence. Coordinate upcoming releases with operations, automation teams, and vendors. Governance & CAB Responsibilities Ensure adherence to Global Change Advisory Board (Global CAB) processes. Support local teams in meeting CAB requirements and ensuring compliance. Ensure testing steps, approvals, and risk assessments are followed before deployments. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with Automation/Interface, IT, Operations, and vendor teams to ensure alignment on testing readiness. Ensure that outputs from testing cycles meet operational expectations before production deployment. Continuous improvement mindset: we are looking for someone who brings a strong mindset of continuous improvement – someone who is naturally curious, committed to solving problems at the root, and driven to make things better every day What We're Looking For Minimum five years of experience strategizing and coordinating testing activities in an industrial automation or similarly complex operational environment. Proven experience in test management, test coordination, and TMap (required). Strong understanding of QA processes, testing readiness, environment setup, and multi‑system integration testing. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies (preferred). Familiarity with IT governance in a complex, international environment. Proactive, structured, and solutions‑oriented mindset. Strong communication skills; able to manage multiple stakeholders and vendor discussions. Experience with terminal/logistics applications such as TOS, TEAMS, GOS, OCR, RTO, and basic SQL knowledge is a plus. A team player, self‑starter, and able to work with minimal supervision. #LI-SS1 #LI-POST Maersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
