As a Project Planning and Controls Specialist at Hitachi Energy, you will play a crucial role in leading planning and scheduling efforts for all project phases. Your key responsibilities will include:
Maintaining and analyzing actual and forecasted schedules to monitor, report, and manage deviations. - Ensuring projects follow sound methodology and execution practices in accordance with internal standard procedures. - Developing and maintaining properly linked, required role loaded/integrated, baseline, and current schedules that provide time phased baseline, actual, and forecast data for the project. - Monitoring project progress, analyzing critical paths, and notifying Project Managers of any deviations or scheduling issues. - Collaborating with Line Management Organization to resolve Resource Demand / Supply Conflicts. - Issuing progress reports, schedule updates, and productivity data on a regular basis. - Supporting the establishment of a baseline plan for cost and cash flow performance measurement. - Defining necessary resources for project completion, evaluating the work breakdown structure, and integrating material resource requirements with the project schedule. - Communicating project progress and control issues to the project management team and offering solutions. - Supporting Sales & Operations Planning Process by defining Planning Scenarios and driving workload data collection process. - Ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Qualifications required for this role:
Bachelor's degree. - 5 to 8 years of Project Planning and Controls Experience or Project Management work experience in EPC / Sub-Station Projects. - Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, Document Management Systems, Power Bi, Visio, MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point). - Experience in Large Scale EPC project with specialization in Project Planning and Controls or Project Management. - Strong attention to detail, self-starter caliber, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
