As a Regional Logistics Manager based in Mumbai, your primary role will involve identifying, selecting, and appointing 3PL/CFA service partners for warehousing. You will lead warehouse capability enhancement projects and ensure successful implementation to achieve desired results. Additionally, you will play a key role in planning and strategizing for new warehouse launches. It is essential for you to stay updated with the latest taxation rules related to warehousing in India, including the impact of GST. Your responsibilities will also include expertise in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and their integration with other supply chain systems. You will be accountable for effective inventory management and planning, utilizing various techniques such as min-max and reorder point methods. Supporting the Head of Logistics in executing the warehouse's strategy will be a crucial aspect of your role. In terms of transportation management, you will be responsible for driving new initiatives and innovations. This will involve vendor management, negotiation of freight costs, and overall cost optimization through budget planning aligned with targets. Monitoring operational performances, evaluating new freight partners, and conducting audits to ensure SOP adherence will be part of your routine tasks. Furthermore, you will take ownership of demand and supply planning for the region, in line with S&OP targets. You will define, communicate, and train regional executives and outsourced partners on standard operating procedures for warehouse and transport management. Providing training for skill enhancement and introducing new technologies and initiatives will also fall under your purview. Your role will require a background in logistics operations, with a specific emphasis on exposure to CFA operations. Traveling within your respective zones for a minimum of 10 days is a mandatory requirement. Working knowledge of SAP is preferred, while proficiency in Excel is compulsory. Local candidates are preferred for this position.
