As a legal compliance manager, you will be responsible for managing and enforcing an effective legal compliance program that aligns with both federal and state laws. Your key responsibilities will include:
Expanding and reviewing company policies to ensure compliance with regulations. - Providing management reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing management information. - Completing audit work papers and memorandums by documenting audit tests and findings. - Recommending the management team on the current company's compliance with laws and regulations through detailed reports. - Meeting cost standards by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving actions. - Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities such as reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and engaging in professional organizations. - Ensuring compliance with regulations and controls by examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation; and recommending opportunities to strengthen the internal control structure. - Verifying assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation.
