Primary Job Summary: The Electrical Engineer – HVAC/Chillers supports the electrical design implementation, local procurement, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of customized industrial chiller systems. The role acts as a key interface between the HQ Engineering team in Europe and the local Procurement, Production, and Testing teams, ensuring that electrical systems are correctly assembled, tested, and compliant with applicable standards and safety requirements. Duties and Responsibilities: Design Interpretation & Localization This role includes reviewing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts provided by the HQ Engineering team. It involves identifying gaps or inconsistencies in documentation and supporting the adaptation of electrical designs to local standards, installation practices, and available components, subject to HQ approval. Production Technical Support The position provides on-site technical support during electrical installation and assembly of chiller systems, including control panels, wiring, and cable routing. It ensures correct implementation of electrical drawings and acts as the technical liaison between HQ Engineering and local Production teams to resolve technical issues. Manufacturing Documentation & Drawing Control The role includes preparing and maintaining updated electrical drawings, wiring lists, and assembly instructions for Production and Testing teams. It also supports change management by coordinating design updates and revision requests with HQ Engineering. Local Supply Chain Integration The Electrical Engineer reviews BOMs and electrical components to identify opportunities for local sourcing without compromising quality, safety, or functionality. It coordinates with Procurement and HQ to evaluate and approve equivalent components and ensures full traceability of substitutions. Testing & Commissioning Support The position supports the Testing team during dry tests and performance tests of assembled chillers. It includes troubleshooting electrical issues such as power faults, sensor errors, safety circuit failures, and control logic malfunctions. Quality & Standards Compliance The role ensures compliance with applicable electrical standards and internal quality requirements. It participates in quality reviews and contributes to continuous improvement of electrical design and manufacturing processes. Communication & Coordination The engineer communicates regularly with HQ Engineering teams regarding technical clarifications, design modifications, and feedback from production. It proactively reports recurring issues and contributes to identifying engineering improvements and design optimizations. Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC, industrial chillers, or industrial machinery Strong knowledge of control panels, motor starters, VFDs, sensors, relays, safety circuits, and power distribution Experience with electrical troubleshooting and commissioning in industrial environments Proficiency in AutoCAD (including Electrical module); SolidWorks or Solid Edge is a plus Familiarity with PLCs and control logic is an advantage Knowledge of IEC, UL, and local electrical standards (professional certification is a plus) Strong English communication skills (written and spoken) Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and safety awareness Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical background Proven experience in HVAC or industrial machinery environments Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and technical documentation Experience in production or manufacturing support roles is preferred Benefits: Competitive Salary Professional development opportunities State-of-the-art equipment and tools to support your work Equal Opportunity Employer: Munters are equal opportunity employers and are committed to diversity in the workplace.
